All Basic Training Courses are Illinois State Certified and Approved by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Professional Regulation, in compliance to the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, and Locksmith Act of 2004.
20-Hour Basic Training
- Basic Training under Section 15-25 for a Detective Agency
- Basic Training under Section 20-20 for an Alarm Contractor Agency
- Basic Training under Section 25-20 for a Security Contractor Agency
- Basic Training under Section 35-45 for a Proprietary Security Force
8-Hour Training Courses
(conducted in two-hour segments)
8-Hour Site-Specific Training under Section 25-20 for a Security Contractor Agency
AND/OR
8-Hour Refresher Training under Section 25-20 for a Security Contractor Agency

- The law on private police and on reporting to law enforcement agencies;

Content covered in the 8-hour Site Specific and Refresher instruction sessions are conducted in two-hour segments, to include a once per month Saturday session. This method is designed to allow flexible availability. A Cumulative and verifiable Transcript of all completed Training is provided upon request.
